| Aditya Birla Knowledge Centre - A community Development Project towards self-sufficiency - Aditya Birla Group is building up “Aditya Birla Knowledge Centre”. The project is aimed at providing vocational training to needy people in the surrounding community of Kaengkhoi district and other surrounding areas of Saraburi Province to make them self-sufficient to earn their living respectfully. In the initial phase the hands-on training shall be started in the areas of Tailoring, Computer office program usage, Electrical household appliance repairing and Teaching fundamental English. New training courses shall be opened up subsequently to include other skills depending on the needs of the community.
Under this project Aditya Birla Group will build the facility in the land provided by Kaengkhoi District Administration office at their premises. Aditya Birla group will also provide necessary training equipment to run the centre effectively. The centre will work as a non-profit organization and its management will be under a committee having representatives from Aditya Birla Group, Saraburi Skill Development Centre and Kaengkhoi District Administrative office. The Saraburi Skill Development Centre shall provide necessary trainers and guidance in running the training courses.
